Le Petit Gourmet – First Ever Halal French Restaurant in Paris

We walked into Le Petit Gourmet not knowing that this is the first Parisian restaurant to offer halal French cuisine and they have been in business for the last 20 years or so. This cute little classic Parisian chic restaurant on Rue du Faubourg Montmartre was packed even during off peak times! We really enjoyed dining here, the dishes were fresh and homemade, the owner and staff were very friendly and the tables are close to each other creating a family like atmosphere in the heart of Paris.

Menu Recommendations:

We recommend both the Homemade Halal Confit de Canard Maison (Duck Confit) and Magret de Canard (Duck Breast) as our party enjoyed both very much! Don’t forget to order the Crème Brûlée to end your meal on a sweet note!

Itinerary tip:

You can check out the Banky Museum in the morning and cross the street to for lunch. If you are a fan of opera, ballet and special performances or just beautiful architectures Palais Garnier is a short walk away as well. Don’t forget you can catch a matinee (daytime performance) if you prefer not to stay out late. Last minute seats might still be available for the upcoming performance at the Paris Opera box office as well. Make sure you get in the line early and have everyone in your party be present (one seat per person in the queue), the tickets are sold from 30 minutes before curtain rise.
