Paris is a global city with a growing halal food scene. Whether you’re looking for Halal Gourmet French Cuisine, Halal pizzeria or a quick bite from a shawarma spot, Paris has it all. Here’s a list of some of the best halal restaurants in Paris — from hidden gems to local favorites.
Le Confidentiel – Restaurant Halal
Le Confidentiel offers European and Asian dishes with a halal twist— their menu is fairly mixed Italian, French, Middle Eastern, Asian and Fusion dishes. The atmosphere is cozy and dim, perfect for a halal date night or special occasion.
Recommendations: Carpaccio de boeuf du limousin, 5 hour Lamb Shank (La souris d’agneau fondante), And don’t forget the Passion Fruit Cheesecake for a grand finish.
Violetta et Alfredo – Salon de thé
We recommend that you show up early for this brunch spot but if you sleep in, we still insist that the lines here are totally worth it! This charming tea salon pays homage to Giuseppe Verdi’s opera La Traviata. The salon’s decor evokes a baroque ambiance, transporting visitors to a romantic era reminiscent of the opera’s setting, and of course they play opera arias inside!
Recommendations: We LOVED the Formule Brunch deal, truly the best experience and the best price. We recommend choosing Pancakes “Amami Alfredo” and/or Brioche “Sempre Libera” for your main.
Chez Cleopatre
A cozy family-run spot serving delicious Lebanese mezze, grilled meats, and fresh-baked manakish. All meat is halal and dishes are made with love and bold flavors. No wonder why this spot is very popular!
Recommendations: Kebab Taco, Chicken shawarma plate with garlic sauce and Merguez.
SWEETBAKER
With its classic American diner decor, this place is a trending Halal burger spot in Paris. We loved their owners’ insistence on always using fresh ingredients from their bread to the halal meat (never using frozen meat really makes a taste difference!). Whether you’re in the mood for a hearty breakfast, a juicy burger, or a sweet treat, there’s something for everyone.
Recommendations: Le Sweet Baker Burger, Manhattan Hot Dog and if you’re visiting in the morning you have to try the Pain Perdu with their fresh daily brioche bread!
Le Jumeyrah
While it’s a bit off the beaten path and away from tourist hot stops, Le Jumeyrah is tourist spot itself! A unique fusion of halal French, Middle Eastern and Mediterrenean cuisines in a no frills French brasserie setting. Their menu features gourmet steaks, seafood, and fusion dishes—all halal-certified.
Recommendations: 4-hour Lamb Shank, Beef Rib with Truffle Mashed Potatoes and the WAGYU Burger.
New Jawad Richelieu
This is a local favorite with a diverse menu featuring Indian and Pakistani specialties, with options for vegetarians and varying spice levels. They also have lunch and dinner menus if you’re looking for a set price to try a few dishes together.
Recommendations: Butter Chicken, Lamb Biryani and of course Garlic Naan!
Captain’s Pizza
Captain’s Pizza is great for a casual halal lunch. They serve up wood-fired pizzas (and you can watch your pizza getting made on the screen), hearty pasta dishes, burgers and salads —all 100% halal. Portions are generous and prices are friendly.
Recommendations: Pizza Orientale with Merguez sausage was both novel and delicious!
Le Wok Saint Germain
If you’re in the mood for halal Asian fusion food, including Thai and Indo-Chinese cuisines, you have to come here. From Thai curries, to fried rice, and noodle stir-fries and addictive mango sticky rice this place has it all and everything is available with halal meat.
Recommendations: It’s so hard to pick one dish so if you have the appetite we recommend Chicken Pad Thai, Beef Loc Lac and Mango Sticky Rice for a sweet ending.
🗺️ Bonus Tips:
- While we can’t list everything here we recommend that you:
- Look for the “halal” sign on restaurant windows—many places proudly display their certification.
- Want something sweet dinner? Try a halal-friendly pâtisserie like Maison Gazelle for Moroccan-inspired pastries.
